RISE is a 10-week summer research program designed for rising sophomores, juniors, incoming transfers, and seniors at UC Riverside. Participants work under the supervision of a faculty mentor on a cutting-edge research project. The program features faculty mentoring, professional development opportunities, immersive experience in the UCR science community, and an undergraduate symposium. Through support from generous donors and institutional financial commitments to undergraduate research, CNAS undergraduate students from several programs are provided stipends for their commitment to research throughout the summer: Learning Community/ CNAS Scholars, Dynamic Genome Summer Scholars, Riverside City College Bridges to Baccalaureate (B2B), California Alliance for Minority Participation in Science (CAMP), USDA NIFA, UCR Faculty Sponsored Programs, Digital Agricultural Fellowship, and the Summer Bridge to Research Scholars (incoming transfer students). This paid summer undergraduate research opportunity is hosted by CNAS and collaborates with different on-campus partners.
