Undergraduate Economics Council

UEC is the University of Toronto Mississauga’s student-run economics organization. We are recognized as an academic society and officially affiliated with the Department of Economics at UTM. UEC’s primary mission is to provide valuable opportunities to current and prospective finance and economics students and help them excel in academics, adapt to our university environment, and foster their future potential in an accountable, ethical and responsible way. Our desired future goals are:  Providing high-quality events that encourage students to develop themselves on an academic and professional level  Helping students find their career path through networking opportunities with professionals and faculty professors  Improving students’ knowledge in fields relating to economic research, policy making and the financial industry  Serve as a bridge between students and the Department of Economics
