UEL Honors Program

Mission: Focus on the selection and development facilitation of elite students in order to create high-quality human resources, leading officials for production units, economic activities, and teaching staff for universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam. High-quality higher education plays a particularly important role in the socio-economic development of a country, especially when the economic competition is in the trend of globalization. However, the investment for it is still limited. As the program is one of the key projects to implement the strategic tasks of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), the University of Economics and Laws (UEL) has implemented to develop high-quality human resources through specialized programs. Value exists: Students learn additional advanced courses, some of which are designed specifically for talented students, and help students develop leadership skills, and scientific research skills. In addition, students participating in the UEL Honors Program are also supported separately in scholarships, documentary syllabuses, scientific research, internship ants, etc. History: According to a decision of the leaders of the VNU-HCM, UEL started implementing the project from 2006 to the present. This program is divided into three phases: Phase 1: From 2006 to 2011 with 4 programs: + Economics + International Economic Relations + Finance - Banking + Accounting - Auditing Phase 2: From 2013 to 2017, there are 2 programs: + Economics + Finance – Banking Law Phase 3: From 2018 to 2022, it will be implemented in most programs
