UEO is a fabrication, design, and research studio. We are a group of inventors, designers, artists, and architects. We build Apps, machines, installations and architecture. We are located in New York City, USA and Zhu Hai, China.
In 2019, Gabriel Munnich, Yaoyi Fan, Pablo Toubes-Rieger and Leslie Dougrou invented Instant Lounge. Instant Lounge is a site-specific room-size retractable 3D printer that makes temporary furniture in real-time. The project was exhibited at the Shenzhen Biennale in China in December 2019 and published by ArchDaily and SpringWise. In 2017 and 2018, Gabriel Munnich, Pablo Toubes-Rieger and Yaoyi Fan collaborated with Eiroa Architects to create a large-scale site specific 3d printer. It was exhibited at the Architecture Venice Biennale 2018 and at Bugaik International Exhibition in 2018. Personal works have been exhibited internationally in Barcelona, Santiago, China, and New York City. They have also been exhibited at the MoMa architecture exhibition on Yugoslavia in 2018. They have received numerous awards including the David Yurnall Award, Menschel Fellowship, and Peter Bruder. Gabriel Munnich and Yaoyi Fan have taught architecture internationally, at the Cooper Union in New York, at JiLin university in China and in Barcelona.
