Rapid advances in technology and data sciences now require sophisticated technical and analytical support for health sciences research and medicine in general. Moreover, this era of increasing technological sophistication still requires strong interpersonal and communication skills from colleagues in analytics. Motivated by those and other opportunities, the Center for Data Solutions is specifically designed to meet those needs and adapt to planned and unplanned future advancements and priorities. Data Solutions at its core is a customer-service oriented entity, producing high-quality, efficient results and analysis for investigators, healthcare stakeholders, and most importantly, patients and our community Our Hubs: Advanced Analytics: Data collection and analysis are part of the “currency” of research. The Advanced Analytics hub focuses on using data from internal and external databases, combined with modern analytic techniques such as machine learning and neural networks to produce sophisticated and scalable solutions for health sciences research. Biostatistics: This hub supports a wide array of biostatistical analysis, including statistical education of early-stage investigators and trainees, including the investigator's Toolkit on the Resources page. Epidemiology: The Epidemiology hub provides classical epidemiologic methodology and analysis, as well as engages in novel quantitative and qualitative social, health services, geospatial, and economic analyses. Epidemiology works in conjunction with the Precision Medicine program, Advanced Analytics, and Biostatistics for efficient project completion.
