Open Source Club aims to provide a fun, welcoming, and educational environment to students who may have never worked with large software projects before.
Our organization started in 2017 as part of the Mozilla Open Source Student Network. Now we reach ~300 students with our General Body Meeting and we average 50 students at our twice weekly Casual Coding sessions. These sessions are where students work on one of our six projects that we host every semester. A majority of our attendees are Computer Science or Computer Engineering majors, however we have a healthy number of other engineering majors who are interesting in learning and applying programming outside of class.
