UGA Mind Blowers

Mind Blowers is a service-based organization of the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business proudly sponsored by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Athens. We emerged out of a desire to support the youth of Athens by educating outside of the traditional curriculum, helping middle-school students cultivate financial literacy and quantitative skills as well as career goals. To achieve our mission, we closely partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Athens. During weekly instructional sessions, we create an enriching and interactive environment for the students to learn useful and relevant information about personal finances, higher education, career pathways, and the business climate. Lesson plans cover topics such as "BLS & Career Pathways," "Debt & Equity Financing," and "Entrepreneurship." Overall, we hope to expand the students' knowledge, develop their skillsets, and lay a strong foundation for their long-term success.
