UGA School of Computing

The School of Computing at the University of Georgia (SoC@UGA) excels in research and education in both core and interdisciplinary computing. Our outstanding faculty and students conduct cutting-edge research in diverse areas of computing including Artificial Intelligence (including Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Robotics), Security and Privacy, Computer Systems (including Cloud, Edge, Mobile, and High-Performance Computing), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Bioinformatics, Data Sciences, and Algorithms. Our research programs excel with funding from all major federal agencies (NSF, NIH, DoD, DARPA, USDA) and private industry. Our faculty publishes strongly in top venues – in fact, we have been ranked as high as second among public universities with 30 or fewer tenure-track faculty members by csrankings
