The Uganda Health Informatics Association (UgHIA) is a professional society legally registered by the Government of Uganda to promote the development and practice of biomedical informatics in Uganda solely aimed at continuous improvement of access to, and affordability of quality of healthcare services delivered to Ugandans. UgHIA comprises of professionals drawn from the fields of medicine, information technology, computer science, public health, bioethics & law among others.
