Untergrundspeicher- und Geotechnologie-Systeme GmbH Our company – Underground Storage and Geotechnology Systems in English – is an integrated engineering and service company that specialises in the exploration, planning, maintenance and operation of underground storage facilities for gaseous and liquid products. It is more than just many years of experience that connects UGS GmbH to the international market. By working together within the shareholders’ group, UGS GmbH ensures access to, and financial support for, various international projects in energy infrastructure. Our shareholders are: (1) Géostock Holding S.A. 60 % of the company shares are owned by Géostock Holding S. A., based in Rueil Malmaison, France. With over 50 years of experience and a network of several international subsidiaries, Géostock Holding S. A. provides specific consulting services. Their services are adapted to customer requirements through the entire lifecycle of underground storage facilities, from feasibility studies through to the commissioning stage. (2) VNG Gasspeicher GmbH 40 % of the company shares are owned by VNG Gasspeicher GmbH in Leipzig, Germany. VNG Gasspeicher GmbH operates storage facilities at four locations in the east and west of Germany. VNG Gasspeicher GmbH markets 2.4 billion cubic metres of storage capacity throughout Europe.
