UH Racing Autonomous

UH Racing Autonomous is the autonomous vehicle racing team of the University of Hertfordshire. This is a new team, formed in 2022 with the aim to develop fast and robust autonomous racing vehicles to compete in autonomous racing competitions around the world. The team is comprised of highly enthusiastic and dedicated undergraduate and postgraduate students from different academic disciplines, including business, mechatronics and engineering. The team is made up of a number of sub-teams that are dedicated to achieving very specific, challenging goals in the areas of perception, localization, planning, controls, and simulation. The team allows members to experiment with cutting-edge technology within the context of the FS-AI competition. Members may expect to be involved in every aspect of engineering, from designing and manufacturing autonomous cars, to simulation and algorithm development and testing and competing in races. As a new and ambitious team, this year our team is focused on building reliable and robust controls software, in future years however we would like to build our own chassis and compete in FS-AI type competitions worldwide.
