The Libraries build, sustain, and make discoverable print and digital collections; with more than 3.2 million print volumes, as well as archives and manuscripts, maps, rare books, audiovisuals, art, and millions of digital resources. The Library has world-class collections related to Hawai’i, Oceania, and the Pacific Islands, as well as China, Japan, Korea, Okinawa, the Philippines, Russia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia which support campus programs and researchers from across the globe. With a commitment to excellence, innovation, diverse ideas, global understanding, as well as western, non-western, and indigenous ways of knowing, we select and create, organize and protect, provide and teach access to resources that enable the creation of new knowledge in all its forms.
