UJ Centre for Ecological Intelligence

The Centre for Ecological Intelligence (CEI) is a forward-looking initiative at the University of Johannesburg, committed to driving impactful research, teaching, training, and advocacy in the areas of agroecology, environmental stewardship, entrepreneurship, and food and nutrition security — all anchored in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) framework. 🌍 Our work addresses some of society’s most pressing challenges, including poverty, hunger, job creation, and sustainable urban development. We are particularly focused on empowering women, youth, people with disabilities, and marginalized communities across urban, peri-urban, and rural settings. ✨ Guided by UJ’s values, CEI is transforming problems into possibilities through collaborative, ethical, and inclusive interventions.
