Proudly South African, the university is alive down to its African roots, and well-prepared for its role in actualizing the potential that higher education holds for the continent’s development. The University of Johannesburg’s (UJ) fundraising and development division has two main functions: fundraising for the priority projects and campaigns of the University of Johannesburg and donor stewardship. The nature of fundraising projects are diverse, and are aligned with the strategic objectives of positioning of the University as the Pan-African” Centre for Critical Intellectual Inquiry, with the primary goal of achieving global excellence and stature with societal impact.
