The UK MS Register is a globally unique research study based at Swansea University’s Medical School, and funded by the MS Society.
Designed to provide a more accurate picture of the impact of MS in the UK, the Register uniquely combines anonymous and confidential information from MS patients, with clinical data and routine NHS information.
The work of the Register could have a profound effect on the delivery of care and services for people with MS.
The Register aims to:
• Revolutionise the focus of MS research, opening up new avenues of exploration.
• Support more accessible and targeted clinical trials for people with MS.
• Obtain new and highly accurate evidence to present to government.
• Work towards more targeted funding and support for people with MS.
• Support future research into possible cause and cure of MS.
