UKfilmNet is a not-for-profit company Limited by Guarantee with the sole purpose of the creation and delivery of the best possible resources, learning materials and support for teachers and learners of film and media in the UK.
It aims to build and extend more formally on the initial ideas, resources and approaches used in the development of www.sharedteaching.com, an online educational website community of teachers and students developed by the same team behind www.ukfilmnet.org.
With fewer than one in ten teachers of media and film formally qualified in the delivery of film and media curricula, UKfilmNet aims to address the skills gap in the practice and processes necessary in the understanding and creation of moving images through professional video tutorials, downloadable materials, online forum, and connected networks teachers and learners.
Our long term aim is to become a sustainable web resource and growing online community thorugh the use of open standards and best practice.
