The Ukrainian Climate Office (UCO) aims to become a leading center for capacity development, policy advocacy, and innovation in Ukraine, dedicated to mitigating climate change, adapting to its impacts, and promoting sustainable development. As an independent entity within Ukraine's diverse multilateral environment, UCO will enhance climate policy capacity and serve as a repository for green initiatives, projects, analyses, and events.
Our ambition is to be a leading actor in Ukraine's multi-stakeholder climate policy landscape. By uniting scientific expertise, civil society engagement, and government authorities, we strive to foster a collaborative approach to creating a sustainable and green future for Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Climate Office currently operates in a project-based mode. It is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), with co-funding from the European Union and the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The project is implemented by GIZ GmbH.
