Umami Restaurant Group is a Los Angeles-based restaurant group founded by Adam Fleischman, a self-taught chef and successful food and wine entrepreneur best known for his break-out full-service hamburger concept, Umami Burger. Conceived as "fine-dining fast food," Umami Burger was named "Burger of the Year" by GQ magazine in 2010 and has received significant additional praise numerous additional press, media, celebrity and food industry participants. Umami Restaurant Group has partnered with numerous award-winning chefs including Chris Cosentino, Jordan Kahn, and Anthony Carron. Umami Burger's first location opened on La Brea Avenue near Los Angeles' Miracle Mile in 2009. Since this time the brand has expanded to 21 locations across California, New York and Illinois. Despite its expansion Umami Burger has prided itself in ensuring that each of its stores remains unique in its design and vibe to ensure connectivity with local diners and a continued spirit of authenticity and true fast fine-dining. The menu offers a medley of signature burgers and a location-exclusive burger, crafted for maximum Umami-ness that pair perfectly with our craft beers and artisanal cocktails.
