University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Honors College

The UMass Dartmouth Honors College is part of the statewide Commonwealth Honors Program (CHP). Graduating as a Commonwealth Honors Scholar is a prestigious honor that is recognized throughout the Commonwealth and beyond. It demonstrates that the Scholar was recognized by UMass as one of the top students on campus. Our graduates surpass the already rigorous requirements to earn the degree, choosing to be challenged and distinguish themselves academically through advanced coursework and independent scholarship. Fewer than 5% of UMassD students graduate as a Commonwealth Honors Scholar. The UMass Dartmouth Honors College serves students from every major on campus. While enrolled in the Honors College students enjoy priority registration, admission to museums and theater productions, regional and national trips, an Honors living/learning community option, upper class Housing as sophomores, small classes, and professional and personal enrichment workshops.
