UMB Capital was established to provide management and consultancy services. It currently oversees the operations of UMB Investment Holdings Limited, UMB Stockbrokers Limited, and Strategic Debt Solutions Limited which hitherto were subsidiaries of Universal Merchant Bank. UMB Investment Holdings Limited (UMB IHL) is an investment management and advisory firm licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ) and registered with the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) as a Pension Fund Manager. Our major clients comprise individuals and corporate institutions both resident in Ghana and abroad ranging from insurance companies, banks, non-bank financial institutions to other institutions of high repute. Our retail clients consist of high net worth individuals, pensioners, students, and workers of various levels. The firm currently manage several institutional portfolios and over 12, 000 clients. UMB Stockbrokers Limited (UMBS) a Licensed Dealing Member of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), was established in 1975 and has been a pioneer dealer on the GSE. We are licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Broker-Dealer. The current line of business includes the provision of brokerage services, equity research, issuing house services, sponsoring of stock exchange listings, Equity Portfolio Management and Share Valuation. Strategic Debt Solutions Limited (SDSL) was originally set up as Merban Asset Recovery Trust as an initiative for the recovery of specified non-performing assets (NPAs) of Universal Merchant Bank (UMB). SDSL had engaged in all activities attendant to the management and recovery of NPLs transferred from Universal Merchant Bank (UMB). The core products and services of SDSL are debt recovery and management of distressed accounts that require turnaround situations.
