The University of Miami (UM) CIFFTA Family Strengthening Program has as its mission to provide youth and their families with the skills and knowledge needed to react more effectively in the face of stressors to increase protective factors, reduce risk factors, and to facilitate more effective and supportive family relationships by implementing an evidence based family therapy model: Culturally Informed Flexible and Family-Based Treatment for Adolescents (CIFFTA).
