UMR Right

UMR Right is a joint research unit affiliated to INSERM (National Institute of Health and Medical Research), EFS (French Blood Bank Institute) and the University of Franche-Comté. We develop basic, translational and clinical research programs to improve knowledge, diagnosis and treatments in the context of cancer immunity and immunotherapy (Team: TIMC), and organ and cell transplantation, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases (Team: ATI). Our main goals: - Characterize the pathogenic or protective immune responses involved in these diseases in order to identify new therapeutic targets and biomarkers - Transfer these advances to the clinic by developing new immunotherapeutic (cell therapies, vaccines, immunomodulators) and improving prognostic/predictive values. UMR Right brings together scientists and clinicians with complementary expertise in immunology, oncology, transplantation, autoimmunity, nephrology and genomics. UMR Right Teams: TIMC: This team focuses its research on understanding the interactions between T lymphocytes, the tumor and its microenvironment in order to develop innovative immunotherapies (CAR-T, vaccines) and select the right treatment for the right patient (biomarkers). ATI: This team focuses its research on the study of the immunological mechanisms at the origin of transplant rejection, those involved in the initiation and maintenance of autoimmune and/or inflammatory pathologies. This better understanding aims at the development of adapted and innovative therapeutic approaches. UMR Right is part of the "LipSTIC Lipoprotéines et Santé : prévention et Traitement des maladies Inflammatoires et du Cancer" Laboratory of Excellence. UMR Right is part of the OPALE Carnot Institute for the research and development of innovative solutions for the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients in the field of leukemia. Concerned about the quality of its work, our lab has been ISO:9001 certified (2012).
