The Real Estate and Finance Association (REFA) is an event-based organization that provides students with networking opportunities, career development activities, and educational functions in order to jump-start careers in real estate.
The objectives are:
1. Familiarize students with the different subfields of the real estate industry and profession
2. Connect students with alumni from the University and top real estate employers who are currently involved in real estate projects in South Florida or future internships and job opportunities
3. Learn the South Florida real estate market as a guide for teaching students how to make intelligent real estate investments for themselves and businesses
4. Visit current real estate projects in South Florida in order to visualize the process from start to finish
5. Learn the basic fundamentals of real estate laws and principles during seminars
6. Create networks with students who are enrolled in different colleges within the University
7. Compete in nationwide Real Estate competitions created for college students
