By using Best Demonstrated Technical and Organizational Practices, Unbosque will reestablish social and economic stability, restore vulnerable and damages lands, and create profitable and self-sustaining cultivated forests and mining operations in remote Colombia. ENVIRONMENT APPROACH UnBosque restores damaged lands through silvopastoral forestry and environmentally sound mining. UnBosque protects the environment by reestablishing native fauna and flora to sensitive areas, by developing fully functioning villages where people can live in harmony with the environment, and by creating economic stability and opportunity in forestry & mining. SOCIAL APPROACH The UnBosque Technical and Organizational approach will create thousands of permanent jobs, facilitate the development of multiple new fully functional self sustaining villages where employees and others attracted to the area will own their own homes. The approach will incorporate indigenous and afro-colombian communities where available. By focusing on a person's future and not upon their past, UnBosque will help bring reconciliation and peace to remote Colombia.
