Understanding Europe Germany e.V. ist ein 2019 gegründeter, gemeinnütziger Verein und Bestandteil des internationalen Netzwerks Understanding Europe. Wir sind ein bundesweites Team aus jungen und proaktiven Bildungsmacher*innen, welche den Diskurs rund um die europäische Idee in das alltägliche Blickfeld hineintragen. Der Fokus der Vereinsarbeit liegt auf partizipativen Bildungsformaten für junge Menschen, in welchen europäische Themen direkt ins Klassenzimmer gebracht werden. Vierstündige Kursformate schaffen somit niedrigschwellige Zugänge zu Demokratieverständnis und politischer Partizipation. Gemeinsam mit jungen Menschen wollen wir Politik entschlüsseln und greifbar machen; Diskussionen anregen und Räume schaffen, in denen alle ihre Meinung äußern und offen Fragen stellen können. Junge Menschen sollen zu gesellschaftlicher Teilhabe ermutigt werden, um zu erfahren, dass jeder schon im Kleinen eine wichtige Rolle in Europa spielen kann.
