Understanding Our Differences' mission is to educate children and communities to actively respect, include and empower people of all abilities through interactive disability awareness programs. The UOD approach is grounded in the belief that children are naturally curious about differences, and that accurate information can be the difference between acceptance and discrimination. The Understanding Our Differences flexible, interactive educational program demystifies a range of physical, sensory and developmental disabilities. Through participating, students learn to see the whole person and better understand the disability.
