Created in 2016, UN:DO is an environmentally conscious fashion company fighting for social justice. We seek to provide an artfully-curated outlet for those who want to move beyond their hashtags and computer screens and direct their consumerism towards a positive change. Each collection focuses on an individual cause, re-contextualizing the fundamental principles of the issue as aesthetic choices that shape each garment. We invite you to join us as we transform society's most pressing issues through art, fashion, inspiration, and community.
Our debut collection UN:LOAD is a thoughtfully crafted, gender-neutral collection of sophisticated, ready-to-wear garments and jewelry. To bring awareness to the gun epidemic that plagues America, select garments are individually shot by a 12-gauge shotgun to create a tattered, distressed look that makes each garment completely unique.
Select pieces also feature an exaggerated display of safety pins, to demonstrate our alignment with the ongoing safety pin phenomenon. As long as current social rhetoric serves to demonize religious, racial, and sexual minorities, we will continue to support them, stand with them, and fight for them.
For every garment sold, 20% of the profits goes to our non-profit partner Cure Violence, a Chicago-based organization that funds violence intervention programs in high-risk urban communities.
With this collection, we pay tribute to all those lost to gun violence while asking how many more must fall victim to this modern epidemic. Our aesthetic choices have the power to broadcast our ideas to the public. We should use them wisely.
