Unearthed is a Control Instrumentation and Electrical contracting company operating within South Africa. Unearthed specialises in the power generation industry with the following core competencies: Engineering Design and development, Panel manufacturing, supply and on-site installation of medium and low voltage lighting, power control instrumentation, impulse piping, welding, cabling, panels, Fire detection, CCTV and Intercom systems, as well as, mechanical and steel works fabrication in the large power generation and user industries including ESKOM/SASOL/PV's amongst others. We have also made inroads into the renewable energy space in the following Major Projects. - Redstone Concentrated Solar Plant (CSP) in the Northern Cape with ACWA Power and SEPCOIII. The Flagship 100MW Redstone concentrated solar thermal power (CSP) plant, which forms part of the South African Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer (REIPP) Procurement Program, is the first project financed CSP with molten salt central receiver project in the world and one of the largest investments in South Africa under the REIPP. - At the Kendal power station, we installed a fixed tilt solar PV power plant (ABB/Novatec Solar products) with a station capacity of 620 kW and production potential of 11.4-million kWh a year. - At the Lethabo PS, the installation comprised a single-axis tracking solar PV power plant (ABB/Novatec Solar products) with a peaking capacity of 575 kW and a production potential of 12.4-million kWh a year. - Wind: we assisted ABB with their onshore wind project at Longyuan Mulilo De Aar 1 & 2 wind project in the Northern Cape. Our Scope was mainly to assist ABB implement the power protection and isolation using a special medium voltage switch-fuse combination switchgear in 163-unit substations
