Department of Economic Policy - Unicatt

The Department of Economic Policy promotes evidence-based economic research in Economic Policy, Econometrics, Applied Economics and Management Science. In particular, researchers within the Department investigate various theoretical and empirical issues in the fields of economic growth, welfare and inequality, theoretical and applied econometrics, labor economics, industrial organization, economics of innovation, environmental economics, finance, entrepreneurship and peace research. From a methodological point of view, the Department is characterized by an open-minded attitude where Evolutionary and Keynesian approaches are considered as relevant as the mainstream; moreover, interdisciplinary research projects are welcome in collaborations with other research institutions within the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and at the national and international level. Members of the Department are engaged in research projects and consulting for national and international private and public bodies, such as – among others - the European Commission, the OECD, the World Bank, and the International Labour Office. The Department hosts the editorial managing of three international journals, namely: Eurasian Business Review: A Journal in Industrial Organization, Innovation and Management Science (Editor-in-chief: Marco Vivarelli) Peace Economics, Peace Science and Public Policy (Editor-in-chief: Raul Caruso) Rivista Internazionale di Scienze Sociali (Editor-in-chief: Maurizio Baussola)
