Meet the Founder: Fatimah Hussain I've always had a fiery ball of passion for creation. I found happiness in helping others, whether that'd be volunteering at my high school's robotics club or teaching students how to build iOS apps. I was introduced to computer-aided design by my dad, who encouraged me to buy a $10 online computer-aided design (CAD) course. The idea of turning a sketch into a tangible object?? To say I was utterly bewildered is an understatement. That's a surreal concept you hear of in sci-fi movies. After finishing the course, I felt unstoppable. I spent much of my free time fiddling with CAD and curating fun creations such as the Tesla Cybertruck, a planter, and robots! After using my 3d-printed child lock on my own cabinets, it successfully prevented my baby brother from unlocking my belongings. Then, I had an epiphany, why not sell these! I'm sure many mothers, nannies, babysitters would find this lock useful to keep their toddler/pet away from the cabinets! So, I set on a mission to do just that-- luckily I already had set up a personal website and my LinkedIn profile so finding mentors to aid me through this journey was a smooth process. I'm so incredibly grateful to have the support of my family, friends, and my mentors that helped me get to this step. But most of all, I thank myself for never giving up and balancing this startup amongst the plethora of activities I'm involved in!
