UniDesk

UniDesk is an ITIL-aligned ITSM service designed for Higher and Further Education based on the TOPdesk SaaS offering. TOPdesk provide the technical platform with UniDesk managing the service on behalf of members. The service provides an Enterprise-level ITSM solution for institutions with all core ITIL processes built-in to the service and tailored for education. A significant strength of the service is how it is used as a service improvement tool and delivered as a shared service management solution. It is exempt from public procurement regulations allowing the public sector an alternative to existing commercial offerings while harnessing a robust commercial product offering. Being a shared service, the UniDesk membership is based on mutual trust and support, is a not-for-profit arrangement and is not provided to any member institution on a commercial basis. Being a UniDesk member institution has significant value, from shared best practice based on ITIL standards, to community-driven changes to functionality. Implementation of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework via UniDesk aims to harmonise and improve service processes, and ultimately lead to a more mature and business focussed management of services. As service professionals, we are committed to learning and sharing best practice based on ITIL standards. Our team has extensive experience in service management and our knowledge of educational processes, systems and projects, results in providing tailored advice that meets your institution's needs. New member onboardings are tailored to each institution through understanding how they operate and a tailored onboarding plan developed. Members will receive guided consultancy for onboarding on each of the core ITIL processes and mapped accordingly with tool usage.
