We wash plastics before granulation to ensure that the materials we process are free of contaminants and can be reused to create new products.. PPCP Our recycled PPCP (polypropylene co-polymer) granules made from washed waste materials are a sustainable solution for reducing plastic waste in the environment. These granules are made by processing washed waste materials PP RAFFIA We process post-consumer and factory waste polypropylene (PP) sacks (jumbo/big bags). These PP jumbo bags are de-dusted, manually sorted into different colours as well as straps and threads removed . The bags are crushed before going into our four-step washing process, which includes a hot-wash tank and friction washers. It is then dried and finally sent to our granulation department to make high quality PP granules. Union Plastic Industries (UPI) has extensive experience in the plastic recycling business having been operating since 1996. In 2019, we expanded our business internationally to the UAE and started our post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste recycling in Hamriya Free Zone in Sharjah.
