Who we are: Unipharm was founded in 1975 in Israel and since its early days was a dominant player in the pharmaceutical arena in Israel. What we do: We create value in the full pharmaceutical value chain from developing to manufacturing and successfully marketing generic pharmaceuticals. We take pride in doing this in an innovative, responsible and cost-efficient way. What we offer: We offer product portfolio consisting of a broad range of high quality generics for all major therapeutic areas. It is part of our long-term strategy to expand the product portfolio of off-patent blockbusters while at the same time offering a broader range of niche products within more narrow disease areas. Unipharm’s products are developed in the CTD dossier format and produced in its new, state-of-the-art, EU-GMP certified manufacturing facility in Israel. In the current pharmaceutical-IP environment where major pharmaceutical companies are protecting their product with multiple patents, Unipharm has the capabilities of accurately evaluating a product’s patent protection suit and to act accordingly: either stay off the market until the patents expire, to circumvent the still valid patents or to try to invalidate the patent and launch a generic version as soon as legally possible.
