Mentors are proactive, motivating, encouraging and they go the extra mile. Mentoring includes advocating and knocking on doors to hold clients accountable. Our mentors skilfully utilise their personal lived experiences to help others learn and bring encouragement through related experiences. We focus on the ripple effects of crime and decisions made, helping people understand the wider consequences of their actions. A key part of our mentoring is to understand the reasons for individual behaviours. Once surfaced, we begin to challenge, support and motivate our clients to make better choices. We provide clients with the tools and examples to overcome knife crime, gangs and crime. We help our clients with their transition into adulthood and social inclusion. Our mentors are trained in Youth Work or Mentoring, combined with lived experiences, making them credible in their approach.
