GravityGames [GG] is an idea that seeks to encourage STEM-inspired students worldwide to develop innovative additively manufacturable products.
GG 2.0 is an R&D CONCEPTUAL competition to exercise innovative challenges NextGen's commercial space will face. A unique instrument that an autonomous astronaut would/can develop to aid themselves in their use to increase their chances of survival is the goal and judging will not only be based on the instrument of choice but its optimization in design.
Designs from 30+ countries will be presented on the GG website and research on how teams were inspired to create their instruments will be used for background ethnographic research on socioeconomic and sociocultural influence. This competition will be the foundation to make sure participating students not only have access to the software necessary but also access to other participants and mentors to prepare for GG 3.0.
