UPC-Marathon, a Nitrex company, (formerly United Process Controls), is a globally recognized leader in industrial process control and automation within the heat treatment and combustion markets. Established in 2012 through the merger of Furnace Controls Corp. (USA), Marathon Monitors Inc. (USA), and Waukee Engineering Company Inc. (USA), United Process Controls came into existence. The company expanded its portfolio with another strategic acquisition in 2017, enhancing its range of flow control and furnace solutions with the addition of Atmosphere Engineering Company. The following year, the European affiliate, Process-Electronic, operating across France, Germany, and Poland, formally adopted the name United Process Controls to align with the group's comprehensive branding strategy. As part of a new brand initiative in 2020, United Process Controls was rebranded as UPC-Marathon, a testament to its evolution within the Nitrex family. Operating across seven countries with nine sales and manufacturing facilities, UPC-Marathon boasts approximately 120 dedicated employees.
