Unitronix is an Australian owned company founded in 1984 that is based in the Hunter region of NSW. Our office in Cooranbong is close to the M1 freeway and 90 minutes North of Sydney. Our business is the supply and through life support of rugged computing solutions to customers in the Military, Mining, Commercial, Civil, Industrial and Medical areas. Our European office based in Alicante Spain offers a growing subset of support and services that include rugged LCD’s and PC screens, servers and fully sealed systems. Our customers require equipment that is reliable and predictable in it’s operational life when deployed in the field. As such systems design can be complex. Environmental conditions, technical capability and the life-cycle support of the equipment needs to be considered. Our customers cannot afford to buy cheap, as the cost of failure is much higher than any front-end procurement cost. It is in this area that Unitronix teams with customers to correctly specify and define all aspects of the system requirements so we can offer the best equipment and support for the job. While the majority of our business is selling component parts, (i.e. boards chassis and backplanes) we also work with customers to supply systems solutions when required and have a number of In-house R&D projects to develop rugged vehicle computing solutions for mining, law enforcement and the emergency services. EW and Radar are areas that we particularly specialise in at Unitronix. We supply and support equipment in this sector as well as working on internally funded research in this field.
