UNIVERSE+ Positive Geometry Overview

UNIVERSE+ is a Synergy Grant project funded by the European Research Council (ERC). It aims to create a new mathematical language to describe physical phenomena on all scales, from the interactions of elementary particles to the large-scale structure of the Universe. This is the first collaboration of scientists bringing together expertise in particle physics, cosmology and mathematics. UNIVERSE+ is a cooperation of the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich, the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig, the University of Amsterdam and the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton. The group aims to attract some of the brightest young people from diverse backgrounds to work on a multi-faceted research program with the potential for significant impact on a wide range of scientific topics in particle physics, cosmology and outward-looking mathematics.
