UNO Latino Alumni

The UNO Latino Alumni group is your connection to the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The mission of this group is to engage and connect Latina, Latino, and Latinx alumni to one another and to the University through meaningful programs, benefits, services, goodwill, and communication. The UNO Latino Alumni group is an affiliate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha Alumni Association. Through service and leadership, we hope to develop and foster a mutually beneficial relationship between the college and its alumni. Goals of the UNO Latino Alumni group: - Unite Latina, Latino, and Latinx alumni - Create post-career opportunities - Networking opportunities - Professional development - Forum where advice is sought and provided - Sharing of career and professional expertise - Sharing of career news - Post continued academic opportunities at UNO, and micro-credentialing to advanced degrees Goals in facilitating engagement with UNO: - Engage Latino(a/x) alumni in the life of the University - Provide university leadership with input on policies and practices - Involve Latino alumni in UNO university strategies to support student recruitment, retention, and success - Advise alumni association in involvement and honoring of outstanding Latino(a/x) alumni - Establish a program for alumni to serve as mentors and provide career development guidance for students - Provide advocate for and support for the diverse needs of students via scholarships and alumni networking Goals in facilitating engagement with UNO Alumni Association: - Connect Latino(a/x) alumni to UNOAA programming and activities - Connect Latino(a/x) alumni to UNOAA volunteer opportunities
