The United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) leads and coordinates an all-of-UN approach to prevent and counter terrorism and violent extremism conducive to terrorism. Our mission is to deliver tailored support to Member States in our common goal to have a world free of terrorism.
We provide leadership, coordination and capacity-building to Member States in line with the mandates given by the United Nations General Assembly and the Security Council and take practical steps to prevent and counter terrorism and violent extremism across the globe through the implementation of our projects and programmes.
