The Beach Safety Research Group at UNSW Sydney serves as a unifying hub to advance the science of safety in the beach and coastal environment and draws on a variety of disciplines and research approaches. We collaborate with external academic colleagues and beach safety organisations to design and conduct high-quality research that helps inform beach safety practice, education programs and policy. We strive to communicate and translate beach safety science in a way that is meaningful and helpful to those responsible for saving lives and making the beach a great and safe place to be.
