UNSW Sandbox Program

The UNSW Sandbox Program drives transformative collaborations among industry, academics, and students, creating innovative solutions for today’s business and societal challenges. By integrating work-based learning as a central pillar of higher education - not merely an “add-on” - the Program weaves real-world challenges directly into university courses. Students collaborate closely with industry practitioners, co-creating impactful solutions while advancing their degrees. To date, over 10,000 students have gained hands-on experience, partnering with 170+ experts from 30 leading organisations, including Microsoft, Australian Red Cross, AwareSuper, Ernst & Young, and WWF Australia, to tackle more than 80 critical issues.
