Assistive Design and Prosthetics Team (ADAPT)

Our current focus is the design and implementation of devices for anyone who suffers from conditions such as joint contractures, muscular dystrophy and other illnesses which impact their mobility. Many of these conditions are incurable, so we have made it our mission to use our skill set and resources to increase their independence through increasing their mobility. Our team consists of multidisciplinary engineers with prior experience in design and a passion to improve the lives of others. Currently, we are working with medical professionals at the Alberta Children's Hospital in charge of the Arthrogryposis Clinic as well as the Tetra Society. Both these groups provide us with resources, mentoring and overall support in the development of our devices.
