The Students’ Association for Legal Aid and Research (SALAR) is a non-profit making students’ organization established at the University of Nairobi, School of Law in 1999.
Our objectives are:
1. To promote legal research as a key component of legal education
2. To provide free legal aid to persons who cannot afford to pay for legal services
3. To provide community outreach services together with our partners.
4. To cultivate a public interest lawyering spirit in law students
5. To network with NGOs, lawyers, and public and private sector institutions with the aim of expanding the scope of social justice.
