Upgrade Capital started out as a platform for hosting challenges and competitions across dozens of universities to test for the ability to generate genuine edge in investment research and trading. As the exceptional young people we surfaced entered the industry, we became ever more deeply involved in helping their employers build out whole teams around them. Data science quickly became a core focus; we have helped shape many of the most successful data efforts across both public and private markets.
