Upper Peninsula Human Resources Association (UPHRA) is a volunteer-run association of HR practitioners in all disciplines and all roles; our membership includes individuals with dedicated HR roles as well as those in leadership, management, organizational development, and finance. We are located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with our larger events generally held in Marquette, MI.
Our SHRM-Affiliated Chapter attracts members from a wide range of industries across the UP including financial institutions, recreation and retail, timber and mining, government, non-profit and so many more. Our purpose, “to promote the development of Human Resources Management in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan through the exchange and sharing of information via meetings, discussions, and formal presentations”, is carried out via events aimed at the development of HR expertise and the certification/recertification of HR Professionals.
