Established in 1998, Upledger Institute Ireland has been a leader in Craniosacral Therapy (CST) education, dedicated to training competent, professional therapists through high-quality programs. Our mission is rooted in Excellence, offering comprehensive training that equips our students with the skills to become proficient practitioners. We provide ongoing support to our students, fostering their growth not only during their studies but also by offering advanced learning opportunities after they complete their initial training. This includes workshops, study days, clinical exchanges, and teaching assistant roles, all aimed at enhancing their skills and expanding their knowledge. We believe in Opportunity—a diverse range of experiences for students to hone their skills through hands-on practice in various settings, including intensive programs and precepting in clinical environments. Our commitment to Growth extends beyond individual practitioners, as we actively promote CST as a safe and effective therapy. We encourage and support research and clinical trials to further validate its benefits for a wide range of conditions. Craniosacral Therapy, a gentle, hands-on technique, focuses on enhancing the functioning of the craniosacral system—comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that protect the brain and spinal cord. By using a light touch, practitioners help release restrictions, improving the central nervous system's overall function. Under the leadership of Orla Illien, who took over as Director in 2023 from founders Mary Brady and Ger Swords, Upledger Institute Ireland continues to evolve while maintaining its core values of excellence, support, and growth.
