Upriso was a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) that tried to integrate ideas and best practices in various educational systems around the globe into one educational system. Shut down. Upriso's two pillars were: ► Best Content Upriso envisioned this to be the distillation of best content, right from pre-school to Higher Education, from 12 pilot countries - US, China, UK, Sweden, South Africa, Australia, Canada, Israel, Brazil, India, Egypt and Japan. To start off, Upriso had identified 6 areas that can be taught - Basic Algebra, Minimalism, Civil Engineering 101, Nanotechnology, Basic Calculus and Organic Chemistry. Upriso also identified 10 best educators in the world (from the above 12 countries) in each of these 6 areas to work together in a team and collaborate to create one single course in each of the identified areas. ► Best Delivery Upriso was building a cutting edge online, interactive, gamified, adaptive education technology to intensify the immersion in online learning experience.
