UQ GEMS - Geography and Environmental Management Society

The UQ Geography Environmental Management Society is a UQ Union affiliated society. We connect with students who study or have an interest in Geography, Environmental Management or Environmental Science. Our society aims to help our members network with their own peers at university as well as in the industry, by running events in three areas of volunteering, social and industry. UQ GEMS is well recognised at the university as one of the top science societies to join. In 2022 it was awarded for hosting UQ’s Industry Focus Event of the Year (SEES Industry Night) and Event Series of the Year (Bushcare Working Bee - volunteering), as well as the Launch Party of the Year.
