The UQ Electrically Based Engineering Student Society (EBESS) is a UQ Union-affiliated student society at the University of Queensland, which provides events, employability workshops, merchandise and advocacy for students studying electrical engineering disciplines. EBESS held over 20 professional, academic and social events in 2017, and currently has a membership of over 600 students. The club was voted 'Engineering Club of the Year' in 2016 and won 'Ball of the Year' at the 2017 UQ Union Club Awards.
